Inbetweeners star James Buckley spends £2,000 on braces to fix his wonky teeth

AS the man who brought us the nation’s favourite comedy idiot Jay on The Inbetweeners, JAMES BUCKLEY should be used to people laughing at him.
But the actor is going to extreme measures to make sure no can poke fun at him off or on the screen.
James is forking out £2,000 to sort out his wonky teeth which he claims have brought him years of humiliation — and comparisons to Austin Powers.
In return for his cash he is having a special brace fitted to fix his gnashers for good.
In an exclusive chat, he revealed: “When I went to the screenings of my Inbetweeners movies I would look up at myself on a big massive screen and see Austin Powers staring back at me. So I’m getting a brace in a couple of weeks time.
“I’ve never had a filling, but I went to get veneers for my massively wonky teeth and the dentist said they were healthy and I just needed a brace.
“It’ll go on the back of my teeth so no-one will see.
“I was prepared to pay £10,000, but I’m only paying a couple of thousand.”

It’s not just his teeth giving James grief.
The actor, who is currently starring in BBC comedy White Gold alongside his former Inbetweeners star JOE THOMAS, is so self-conscious he can’t even bear to go on social media.
He explained: “It’s not just a girls who feel insecure about how they look - I’ve become way more insecure seeing how buff men look on Twitter and Instagram. I think, ‘Oh god I don’t look like that.”
Luckily he has plenty of cash to make those Austin Powers comments a thing of the past.
He added: “I’ve done all right from The Inbetweeners movies. It’s the greatest position to be in as an actor as I live in a nice house with a couple of nice cars, kids are in a private school and all that is because people went out and bought DVDs and cinema tickets. I’ve got a really nice life.”
He’ll soon have a pricey set of irons to add to that list too.

Faisal's fortieth forfeit
IN politics, nothing is more important than a General Election – not even your own 40th birthday.
Sky News political editor FAISAL ISLAM has had to put his milestone celebrations on hold so he can present this evening’s May v Corbyn Live: The Battle for Number 10 programme, despite planning his party for months.
And to make matters worse, he’ll be swapping the company of family and pals for a night with scowling ex-Newsnight host JEREMY PAXMAN.
A source said: “Faisal had a whole weekend of celebrations planned with his family and close friends to celebrate his 40th.
“But due to the election, he has had to postpone everything until the campaign is over.
“It’s a bit gutting but it’ll be worth the wait – there’s no better time to be a political journalist than during an election.”
Together, Faisal and Jeremy will mediate Sky News and Channel 4’s joint election special which will see Conservative Prime Minister THERESA MAY and Labour leader JEREMY CORBYN take part in an interview and Q and A session in front of a live studio audience.
Poor Faisal, who has been a telly staple since joining Sky in 2014, will get round to his partying eventually – just so long as there’s not a hung parliament.

DESPITE very few sightings of any animals, EMMERDALE is best known for its farm run by Moira Barton.
But after legging it from his first date as a male escort, Moira’s nephew Finn stumbles on a very different type of farm this week.
Mike Parr, who plays Finn’s brother Ross, explained: “He runs to the old house and as he tries locking himself in, he trips on a wire.
“That’s when he finds out that squatters or drug dealers have moved in on our turf and set up a big old cannabis farm. And it’s big!”
Mike added that the scenes are going to be “very Breaking Bad”.
He added: “The plot thickens. It’s going to lead somewhere else – but we’re not going into that.”
Gryll and Bear it
PREPARE for more grisly injuries, violent storms and washed-up sex toys.
Gruelling reality show The Island With BEAR GRYLLS is returning for a fifth series.
A source said: “The fourth series has once again been incredibly well received so it was a no-brainer for Channel 4 to do it all over again.
“It’s been one of this year’s biggest TV hits and they want to run another full series next year.
“Channel 4’s audience love Bear Grylls and Bear loves the show so was eager to give it another run. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.”
Show bosses are already on the lookout for willing participants.

Shears of joy . . .
CAROLINE FLACK has promised the new series of Love Island will be the sexiest ever – and judging by the show’s first signing, she isn’t wrong.
I’ve learned ITV2 bosses have recruited wannabe pro wrestler and model Jessica Rose Shears as the show’s first contestant for the new series, which launches next Monday.
She has already caught the eye of Celebrity Big Brother star CALUM BEST and Ex On The Beach’s ROGAN O’CONNOR, who follow her on Instagram.
A source said: “Jessica is the perfect fit. She’s fun, sexy, extremely body confident and is genuinely looking for love.
“Jessica used to play water polo for Great Britain and is a trained wrestler so won’t hold back when it comes to tasks.”
Jessica also has a rose tattoo on her thigh similar to CHERYL’s famous inking.
If she’s lucky, she’ll meet a LIAM PAYNE lookalike in the villa.
