Eurovision 2025 updates: Austria wins the song contest as UK receives humiliating zero public votes

AUSTRIA has won Eurovision 2025 - beating this year's favourites to win, Sweden.
Singer JJ, 24, was crowned the winner after receiving a combined 436 points for his track Wasted Love.
Meanwhile, fan-favourites KAJ from Sweden with their eccentric song Bara Bada Bastu came in fourth place.
Israel's Yuval Raphael - who sung New Day Will Rise - emerged as the runner-up with 357 points.
The UK's three-piece girlband Remember Monday suffered a crushing defeat when they received zero public votes from the rest of the world.
The song contest saw 26 countries battle it out on the stage in Basel, Switzerland.
The competition was broadcast live in the UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

How to vote
Each of 37 participating countries can vote for the winner.
Fans can cast up to 20 votes for as many acts as they like through call, SMS or Eurovision app.
Every country has a national jury who will give 1 to 12 points to contestants, with 12 going to the most popular song.
The results from jury's decision and the public vote are then combined.
Non-participating countries also get a say and their votes are bundled under one category 'the rest of the world'.
Voting opens just before the first song is performed and stays open until about 40 minutes after the last song finishes.

Remember Monday have also performed at several major UK events including Country to Country, The Long Road and Buckle and Boots.
They also previously supported Billy Joel and Natasha Beddingfield — before embarking on their very own UK tour.

The grand final will take place today at St Jakobshalle arena in Basel, Switzerland.
The action will be broadcast live in the UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm BST.
