SINGER Spice, who has been dubbed The Queen of Dancehall by fans, has revealed the way that icon Shaggy not only changed her career but her life.

stunned at the 2025 MOBO Awards this week as she took to the stage for a one-of-a-kind performance.

Spice wore a royal blue high slit dress which was embellished with hundreds of crystals and fur.

The singer put on a killer performance for viewers and was even joined by dancehall legend who received a Lifetime Achievement Award following his 13 year sentence from jail.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Spice revealed how fellow Jamaican born star Shaggy changed her life.

She said: " I started from humble beginnings, making it to now being a Queen of Dancehall, It's very important to remind people that it's possible.

“Shaggy kind of changed my entire life as well. 

“Big up to Shaggy because he kind of just changed my life and rewrote my journey.

"I was stuck in a contract and he was able to get me out, you know I did the album, he produced that album 10 that was Grammy-nominated.

“So big up to Shaggy for doing that.”

Shaggy produced Spice's debut album 10, which was released in 2021.

The It Wasn't Me hit-maker was also a co-writer on the album which features other artists such as Sean Paul and even Shaggy himself.

Spice also spoke on her love for fellow performer Vybz Kartel, she said: " We got the 'King of Dancehall', I'm so elated that he's out.

"He's also been awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award, to be away for 13 years and to be back now with his family, just to see the joy on his face knowing where he started from, that warms my heart."

The Grammy-nominated songstress was just a teenager when she began to perform around .

Grace Hamilton, better known as Spice, has racked up over 300 million streams on Spotify and received a  nomination for Best Reggae Album in 2022.

With over 25 years in the music industry, she has worked with artists including Vybz Kartel, , and Busta Rhymes.

The mom of two, who also juggles being on the reality show Love & Hip-Hop:  joining the show in 2018.

Her debut song, Fight Over Man, has thousands of views on YouTube and she is the first female dancehall artist to have more than 120 million views on YouTube's VEVO .

Since she has made many hit songs including So Mi Like It, Romping Shop and Round Round.
