Love Island backstage crisis as crew race to get villa ready ahead of cast flying out next week

LOVE Island host Maya Jama is ready for business - but the dating show villa is anything but.
Work on the Majorcan love nest is ten days behind schedule, with crew scrambling to get the pad ready in time for launch.
It’s left them working around the clock to prepare for this summer’s Islanders, who will land on the Spanish island next week.
A source said: “it’s always a quick turnaround to sprinkle the Love Island magic on the Villa, which is a regular holiday let the rest of the year.
“But the schedule has gone awry this year and it’s looking like production is as much as ten days behind schedule.
“Everyone is working around the clock.”
It comes after host Maya teased the return of Love Island, in the show's latest trailer.
In the short clip, she talked about the new series bringing 'more twists and turns'.
Looking sensational, Maya said: "This year Love Island needs something bigger, something bolder, I want ideas."
The TV host insisted: "This year I want more drama, more bombshells, more break-ups, more makeups.
"I want more twists, I want more twists than ever."
Fans are patiently awaiting the arrival of the new summer series, but as of yet there have been no promos confirming the start date.
As a result, Love Island fans have speculated that there’s been a big shake-up, and that the start date has actually been pushed back.
They think the show might be starting on Monday, June 9.
The summer series normally starts a week after the Bank Holiday, which would make it Monday, June 2.
Over the weekend, The Sun unveiled one of the Islanders set for ITV2’s gorgeous cast, 6’5” personal trainer Aaron Beckett.
Aaron has tens of thousands of fans on Instagram and Tiktok where he posts eye popping videos of his workouts.
A villa source told The Sun: “It’s a fact of life that girls go crazy for a tall lad and Aaron is a man mountain.
“He’s got great chat too."
Love Island coming soon to ITV2 and ITVX.
EVERY year Love Island opens its doors to more sexy Islanders who are hoping for a holiday romance that could turn into more.
