Eurovision winners ‘revealed’ days before song contest final – and it’s bad news for the UK again
It comes after last year's UK entry was a complete flop
THIS year's Eurovision winner has been "revealed" just days before the live final - and it’s bad news for The UK.
The Sun was first to report that the girl group Remember Monday would be flying the flag for Brits in the song contest, but could they be heading for nil points?

Bands from across Europe and beyond will soon descend on the city of Basel in Switzerland to perform at the Eurovision.
The annual event doesn't take place until this weekend, but there is already a clear winner, according to the bookies.
At the moment, Swedish band KAJ are leading the odds to claim the Eurovision crown, with Austria their closest challengers at 9/4.
These two countries are the top favourites, with France coming in a close third at 10/1.

If Sweden do clinch the crown, it will be their eighth win.
Sadly, the UK entry, Remember Monday, are outsiders and are heading into this weekend’s final at 50/1.
Embarrassingly, the odds of them coming last are much higher at 9/4.
William Hill's Lee Phelps said: "With the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest taking place this weekend, we make Sweden’s entry KAJ even-money favourites to win the competition.

“Their main competitors for the crown appear to be Austria at 9/4, with the rest of the field 10/1 or bigger.
“Among the outsiders are the United Kingdom at a massive 50/1.
"Remember Monday could have a Saturday night to forget as we make them 9/4 to finish bottom of the pile and 10/1 to match James Newman’s 2021 performance and score zero points.”
Eurovision 2025 UK entry REVEALED as girlband sign up to represent Great Britain
Hopefully it will a night to remember for Britain for the right reasons.
Remember Monday officially revealed they were the UK Eurovision entry in March.
They appeared on Radio 2 to play their song What The Hell Just Happened?, which they will perform at the Eurovision final.
The band told listeners: "Honestly, we feel like we're on another planet, nothing's sinking in, to be honest I think it's just sunk in then, the lead up... You said 'the global stage' and I was like, 'wait, what!'"

Band member Lauren Bryne said: "We met at sixth form college a few years ago and, essentially, we always had free periods on a Monday which is when we just used to get together and sing.
"Then that turned into us singing every single day of the week and not going to our classes and our teacher used to come and find us in random spare classrooms and knock on the door and be like, 'Girls are you coming into class today?' and we were like, 'No Jenny, we're just going to stay in here, sorry!'
"So we did that for years and years and it kind of became a little in joke that it was always happening on a Monday so that's where Remember Monday was born and, yeah, about a year and a bit ago, we packed in the day job and went full time and it's going OK! Here we are."
The British country pop trio is made up of Lauren, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele.
It's not the first time the group have found themselves in a televised singing competition, because in 2019 they took part in The Voice.

It's a very different choice to last year when Years and Years frontman Olly Alexander represented the UK with pop song Dizzy.
A source said: "As ever behind the scenes competition has been fierce to represent the UK.

"This year bosses have opted to shake things up and send a female trio, Remember Monday.
"The song is a stark change from Olly Alexander last year but the girls are sure to get the nation behind them."
