Jeremy Clarkson’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and ratings-winner The 1% Club are also likely to be screened on ITV Quiz.

The channel will launch in June — replacing ITVBe, which was home to unscripted reality shows such as Towie and the Real Housewives franchise.

Those programmes will air on ITV2 instead.

ITV’s game shows have consistently dominated TV ratings.

Long-running favourite The Chase, hosted by Bradley Walsh, regularly reaches three million viewers — often second only to Coronation Street during the week.

And Stephen Mulhern’s reboot of Deal or No Deal achieves 2.5million.

A TV insider said: “Britain’s love of quiz shows endures, so creating a dedicated channel makes sense.

“And game shows are very cheap to make.

"Many episodes are filmed in one chunk, so they’re a popular job for big-name talent too.”
