KATE Garraway has broken her silence after her best pal and GMB co-host Ben Shephard was announced as the new This Morning host.
Ben will leave the breakfast show he has fronted with Kate for ten years and will take over its sister show with fellow new host Cat Deeley.
Kate and Ben are very close and fronted the show together on Thursday and Fridays.
He has been a huge support to her throughout her husband Derek Draper's health battle, as well as his tragic death last month.
Now Kate, who returned to work earlier this month, has spoken for the first time about how she feels about Ben moving on to a new job.
Taking to her instagram, she wrote: "Massive congrats to @benshephardofficial on the @itv @thismorning gig.

It came after Ben starred in a new show trailer which saw him hang his picture on the wall backstage.
Turning to the camera, he said: "See you soon!" before the portrait of Cat flashed a cheeky wink to viewers.
Dermot and Alison - who front This Morning's Friday episodes - started the episode by cheering: "Ben and Cat welcome to the family!"
Alison then added: "We are so so happy it is finally out."
Dermot chipped in: "The lovely thing is we know them well," as he opened up on starting his telly career with Ben on T4.
