LOVE Island’s Liberty Poole has opened up on her rollercoaster romance with Mitch Taylor after the public booted her out in a savage vote.
The fan favourite lost her place in the Cape Town gaff after the pair were named least-loved couple in ITV’s latest poll.
It meant Maya Jama tonight announced the pair had to leave immediately.
The couple had officially agreed to part ways and pursue other connections the day before, but it was too late to save them.
Now Liberty has opened up on her axe.
She told The Sun: “It’s bittersweet to be leaving Love Island.

“I had the best time in the world, I made new friendships everyday and I feel like I learnt a lot about myself.”
Mitch and Liberty coupled-up on day one but an initial spark gave way to explosive rows.
Liberty said: “At first we had this instant connection and it was really nice as we both fancied each other, but in the end we just couldn't agree on certain things so we had to part ways.
“Being with Mitch was like being with sunshine, rain and wind all in one. There is no bad blood between us though.”

It was stormy seas for Liberty from the off, as she immediately also encountered her 2021 villa ex Jake Cornish in the villa too.
She said: “It was a shock to see Jake. I certainly didn’t expect it but it actually was good to see him.
“After seeing him again in the villa, I feel like we have come full circle, it was nice to see how he’s grown.
“He’s matured so much. I think we can now be friends. I’m really glad he came back in and we have had the closure we needed.”
Now Liberty has shared who the couples she think have real connections are.
She added: “There are quite a few with strong connections now. Molly and Tom are definitely really into each other, as are Josh and Sophie.”
On leaving best mate Kaz Kamwi behind, she said: “It wouldn't have been the same without her!
“To be able to do the experience again with my best friend was amazing.
“I’m sad to go without her, but she’s going to smash it and hopefully find love and get to the final.”
