DANCING On Ice became embroiled in a fix row this evening as viewers were left unimpressed with the scoring.

Nile Wilson wowed the judges as he skated with partner Olivia Smart using a bed as part of props weeks.

But those watching at home are convinced he didn’t use the bed enough and branded it unfair.

One person commented: “How does that deserve such high marks when the prop was used less than half the time???? Fix or what? .”

A second said: “Spent 90% of the routine on the bed and gets 9.5’s such a fix.”

“ Surprise surprise the muscular olympian gets high scores on #DancingOnIce yet again. Just give Nile and Olivia the trophy now and put the others out their misery,” wrote a third.

And a fourth added: “How does that deserve such high marks when the prop was used less than half the time???? Fix or what?.”

Former Olympic gymnast Nile received 9.5 from Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse, while Ashley Banjo gave him a nine.

It’s not the first time some viewers have claimed he has been overmakre.d

Professional skater, Matt Evers waded in on the claims, explaining that the judges base the scores on the individual performance that week.

He told The Sun: "I've heard talk about Nile being 'overmarked'.

"Well, there are always rumblings about who may be over-marked or under-marked - but as Christopher Dean said in a recent session with us, yes, it's a competition, but the ice panel judge the individual performance that week."

However professional Ice skating coach Daniel King disagrees with the scoring Nile has received, describing Nile’s recent performance as “disappointing”.

Daniel, who is a former two-time Scottish Champion and British Primary champion told  his thoughts, explaining: "The most disappointing performances for me came from Mollie and surprisingly Nile this week.

“Although you can see the improvements Mollie seemed to lack solo skating and character performance this week.

"As for Nile while it was fun to watch I believe his previous weeks were much stronger in both skating and performance, he is certainly able to achieve much more and for that reason I would have scored him more harshly."
