EA servers down updates — Hundreds of gamers were unable to connect and play FIFA 23 after global outage

HUNDREDS of gamers were left frustrated after EA servers went down earlier this morning.
According to DownDetector, over 500 users were struggling to access games on the platform including popular title .
One user complained on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: "EA needs more money, back down you go to ruin more of your credibility."
EA confirmed that today’s scheduled maintenance has now finished.

Reports of issues have started to drop
Following today's scheduled maintenance, reports of issues with the EA servers have started to drop off.
The earlier issues appear to be resolved.
What has FIFA gone down?
It turns out the issue isn't anything untoward.
EA revealed that it had planned maintenance downtime scheduled for August 24.
When did FIFA 23 go down?
Reports surged at around 11am UK time on August 24.
The site picked up on more than 500 reports from the UK alone.
Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, plays were confused about the issue.
"Servers on FIFA down again extend the season what a joke," one user vented.
"EA what is going on with fifa 23 are servers down again??" another said.
Others shared a screenshot of the error alert that appears.
It reads: ""The FUT Store is current unavailable. Please check back again soon."
How to check if EA servers are working
The easiest way to see if the servers are working for you is to try to go online with the game of your choice.
There is a chance that server outages are only partial and your game may work after some time.
The other way is to check the page which is giving live updates.
This is where people will likely find out when servers are back first.
Today's maintenance
EA confirmed that today's scheduled maintenance would be finishing within the next hour.
They confirmed that gamers "may be disconnected or unable to access online services" during this time.
Games that have been impacted includes FIFA 22-23.

EA gamers have taken to social media to complain about their experiences this morning.
Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one said: "EA servers are down. I’m sitting here thinking it’s my internet"
A second moaned: "EA servers down noooooooo."
