Barcelona legend Xavi amazingly predicted Qatar to defeat Japan in Asian Cup Final last year
Barcelona legend proved to be spot on with his pre-tournament predictions as Almoez Ali, Abdelaziz Hatim and Akram Hassan Afif seal shock victory

QATAR shocked the world by winning the AFC Asian Cup today – but it came as no surprise to Barcelona legend Xavi.
In fact, the 39-year-old has shown his prediction skills are just as great as his passing ability after correctly claiming Middle East nation would beat Japan in the final.
The competition’s golden boot winner Almoez Ali, Abdelaziz Hatim and Akram Hassan Afif all struck to seal a 3-1 victory for Qatar in UAE.
Takumi Minamino had gotten Japan back in to it before Afif’s late penalty settled the tie.
The celebrations will no doubt go long in to the night for the Qataris after claiming a historic victory and the country’s first footballing title.
But few would forgive Xavi for allowing himself a toast or two after his amazing set of predictions.
The Spaniard, who plays in the Qatar Stars League outfit Al Sadd, correctly named seven of the eight quarter-finalists at the tournament.
Qatar overcame Australia in the last four but no-one fancied Japan to get past Iran – except Xavi.
