Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard waits on Liverpool as Bundesliga clubs chase him for loan deal
Norway midfielder, 17, hopes Jurgen Klopp shows interest in taking him on loan at Anfield

REAL MADRID prodigy Martin Odegaard is waiting on Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp – after stalling on a loan move to Germany.
The Norway attacking midfielder, 17, is poised to discuss his future with Bernabeu officials and his dad Hans-Erik is thought to prefer a Bundesliga switch.
But Odegaard senior and junior still hope ex-Borussia Dortmund chief Klopp will show interest.
Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg are among the top-flight German clubs reportedly keen on skilful Odegaard.
He showed touches of why many tip him to emerge as a great European talent on Real’s US tour.
But the odds now favour a temporary spell in Germany – unless Klopp thinks such a young talent is too good to spurn.
However, Odegaard’s wages of around 31million might put off Bundesliga clubs.
And he has already looked around Liverpool’s training complex, Melwood.
Real, though, might be happy if Odegaard matches the progress of Dani Carvajal, who thrived on loan at Leverkusen before returning to Madrid in 2013 and picking up five Spain caps so far.
Odegaard's debut for Stromsgodset in August 2014, aged 15, made him the youngest ever player in the Norwegian League.
And two months later he became the youngest debutant in a European Championship qualifying match.
But after joining Real last year he had a modest season with their B team.
And a temporary move away as a top-flight first-team player elsewhere in Europe, seems inevitable.
