Copa America 2016: Colourful fans take centre stage after lighting up the opening round of the Centenario
Fans have made the tournament lots of fun - even if the football hasn't been the best just yet

THE 2016 Copa America has been as colourful as ever.
There may have been some negative headlines - bad attendances, bad weather and bad football - but at least the supporters who did turn up haven't let the watching world down.
Fans from all over South, Central and North America have donned their best gear to represent their nations in the United States.
This tournament, the 45th in the history of the Copa America, is a special edition of the 100-year-old competition.
It has taken place after a special agreement between CONMEBOL and CONCACAF and features an expanded field of 16 teams - 10 from South America and six from North and Central America.

However, there have been some criticisms of the competition already.
Attendances in the large stadiums have been way below capacity - just 13,466 turned up to see Panama beat Bolivia in the Orlando rain, way below Camping World Stadium's 65,000 capacity.
Overall the grounds have seen just 58.8 per cent capacity.
Even those numbers are buoyed by two near-capacity games between the USA and Colombia and Argentina's win over Chile.
Sadly, the football has also been truly dreadful with teams scoring just 14 goals in eight matches so far, an average of just 1.75 per game.
Mexico are the only side to score more than twice, while Brazil were booed off after their goalless draw with Ecuador - that should have been a defeat after the referee missed a clear own goal.
Hopefully the second round of fixtures sees things improve.
