Five arrested after five stabbed at 300-person London music event in early hours of Saturday

FIVE people have been arrested after five suffered stab injuries during a horror attack at a music event.
The terrifying incident unfolded in Thamesmead, South East London, in the early hours of this morning.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to an address on Nathan Way at 4.19am after reports of multiple people injured at a music event.
London Ambulance Service scrambled to the scene and transported five people to hospital with stab wounds.
Three of the victims sustained injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Two other victims are still undergoing medical assessment, said cops.
Those in hospital, aged 22, 24, 24, 31 and 32 have since been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, according to the Met Police.
A cordon remains in place at the scene while traffic is being diverted away from Nathan Way, Kellner Road, and A2016 Pettman Crescent.
Detective Inspector Steven Andrews, who is leading the investigation, said: “Officers responded quickly to provide medical assistance to the five injured people alongside the London Ambulance Service and ensure the safety of around 300 people, who were at this music event.
“The five men who have been injured have been arrested for violent disorder and we continue to work to establish any wider involvement.
“There will be a continued police presence on Nathan Way throughout today while we continue this investigation.
“We encourage anyone with any information to contact police to assist with enquiries.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson previously said: “We were called at 4.17am on Saturday 16 May to reports of a stabbing in Nathan Way, SE28.
“We sent resources including ambulance crews, paramedics in response cars, an incident response officer, advanced paramedics and London’s air ambulance.
“We treated three patients at the scene before taking them to hospital.”

A statement on AA Maps says: "Road blocked, police Incident, slow traffic.
