Former chef appears in court charged with the deaths of two former girlfriends five years apart
Women lived less than two miles apart in accused's hometown of Worthing

A FORMER chef has appeared in court charged over the deaths of two former girlfriends, five years apart.
Robert Trigg, 52, stands accused of the murder of Susan Nicholson and the manslaughter of Caroline Devlin following a reinvestigation by cops.
The women lived less than two miles apart in Trigg’s hometown of Worthing, West Sussex.
Ms Nicholson died aged 52 in 2011 and Ms Devlin aged 35 in 2006.
Trigg, who is currently unemployed and has a daughter in her 20s, was remanded in custody by a judge today.

He is also accused of common assault against a 45-year-old woman in Worthing on December 21 and of harassing the same woman earlier this month.
A Sussex Police spokesman today said: "A Worthing man has been charged over the deaths of two women in the town.
"Robert Trigg, 52, unemployed, of Park Crescent, Worthing, appeared at Guildford Crown Court today charged with the murder of Susan Nicholson, then 52, at an address in Rowlands Road, Worthing on 16 April 2011, and with the manslaughter of Caroline Devlin, 35, at an address in Cranworth Rd, Worthing on 26 March 2006.
"He was remanded in custody for an initial appearance at Lewes Crown Court on 20 January 2017."
He added: "The charges, authorised by the CPS, follow a re-investigation of the deaths by officers from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team."
The family of mother-of-two Ms Nicholson fought for five-and-a-half years to have the case reopened - even hiring their own investigators.
It was originally deemed that Ms Devlin, a mother-of-four, died of natural causes on Mother's Day in 2006 when she was found lifeless by her then ten-year-old daughter Codie McKenna.
