Christmas party gets into full swing in Glasgow as the drink flows and cops keep a close eye on proceedings

Scotland's largest city got into the Xmas spirit as thousands of drinkers hit the town for a festive night out

REVELLERS and clubbers descended on Glasgow last night to enjoy the Christmas spirit... and some enjoyed it more than others.

Following on from Black Eye Friday, came Sozzled Saturday, Sloshed Sunday, Merry Monday, Tipsy Tuesday, Wasted Wednesday and Tanked Up Thursday.

There was fancy dress on show — and fancy clothes too — and the cops were out in force to make sure everybody stayed safe.

Despite temperatures dropping to minus 5 degrees C, some revellers still chose skimpy skirts and bare legs for their festive drink ups.

Our snapper was on hand to catch all the action as Glaswegians enjoyed a Christmas night out.

Heavy cops presences kept a keen eye on proceedings, but there was more Christmas cheer than Christmas fear.

Although one couple was seen being offered a romantic ride home in a police van.
