Tornado hits Oakdale with ‘trucks flipped and Mauston hospital damaged’ during dangerous weather in Wisconsin and Iowa

SEMI trucks were flipped and a hospital damaged as a tornado and strong storms swept through Wisconsin on Wednesday.
More than 100,000 residents were without power in the state following tornado warnings that also plagued Iowa.
A Wisconsin Department of Transportation camera appeared to have caught a tornado on video.
The tornadic activity sent residents scrambling for cover with damage reported in Oakdale, Mauston, and Wyeville.
Milwaukee and Green Bay were bracing for more severe weather that affected other parts of the state earlier in the day.
Parts of the state, including Sturgeon Bay, Sister Bay, and Ephraim, were placed under a severe thunderstorm warning with expected wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour.

A severe thunderstorm warning was also in effect for Watertown, Mayville, and Horicon through 8pm central.
Residents were urged to stay inside and take shelter.
Forecasters warned of severe storms expected in Wisconsin with local outlet KIMT Weather reporting that "several tornadoes" were likely.
Heading into the evening, more severe storms are expected, with the majority of the state of Wisconsin remaining under a tornado watch through 10pm local time, according to the National Weather Service.

Reports indicated that the tornado caused multiple semi trucks to roll over on local roads.
Photos from Mauston showed at least one truck flipped on its side.
The Weather Channel's Jacqui Jeras added that a hospital in Mauston also saw damage, though the severity was unclear.
Power lines and debris could be seen littering roadways in some photos.
Other photos from Mauston showed downed road signs and damaged traffic lights.
Local reports state that part of Interstate 90/94 is closed between Tomah and Oakdale as a result of a crash.
Debris is reportedly blocking the roadway from the tornado that has touched down.
Residents in Wyeville, located in Monroe County north of Oakdale, shared photos of uprooted trees on .
In Milwaukee, the city was planning to hold its first Night Market of the season.

However, due to the wind and tornado watch, vendors were being told to take their tents down, according to the local FOX affiliate.
Iowa is now bracing for the possibility of tornadoes and severe weather as the storms move.
