A KITTY loving stranger has been leaving shoppers purring with delight by leaving £5 notes in packs of cat food.
And the delighted moggy owners have been lapping up the unexpected gifts which have been found in envelopes slipped into Butchers cat food at Tesco stores.
One delighted housewife, Marie Wenham, found a £5 note after shopping at Tesco in Larkfield, Kent.
The fiver was in an envelope with a handwritten message "May all your days be filled with happiness and love.
"I have discovered that giving away money attracts more to my life."
Marie, 47, from East Malling, spotted the envelope when she went to feed her hungry cat from a six-pack of meaty-goodness.

And while she did her weekly shopping on Sunday, she only discovered the mini-windfall yesterday.
Delighted animal-lover Marie says the kind gesture has reaffirmed her faith in humanity.
She said: "It put a massive smile on my face.
"It's nice to know that there are still nice people in the world."
In keeping with the generous gift, Marie has decided to donate the money to child medical research charity Sparks.
The shop assistant, who works at One Stop in East Malling, said "I want to use the money to make someone else's life better."
