Nicholas Mee & Co is auctioning the incredible Aston Martin V8 ‘Super Cygnet’.

It's an upgraded version of the brand's Cygnet city car rolled out between 2011 and 2013.

The motor is one of the most unique on the market after Aston agreed to make it upon one client's request.

The Cygent had originally been produced to skirt around new UE emissions laws but only 150 were ever sold in the UK.

But one buyer believed in the vision and ordered a sportier version of the motor.

And, it has only ever been owned by one person, with just 2,900 miles on the clock.

The new and improved Super Cygnet, created by the ‘Q by Aston Martin’ commission service, boasts a 4.7-litre V8 from Aston Martin’s Vantage S.

It offers 430bhp which sees the car speed from 0 to 60mph in just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 170mph.

The sophisticated Buckinghamshire green Super Cygnet also comes with twin-exit exhausts and flared wheel arches.

Meanwhile, the interior has been polished with a black Alcantara, carbon fibre dashboard, Recaro bucket seats and a roll cage.

The beauty impressed during it's first public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2018.

Describing his latest piece of stock, Nicholas Mee, founder of Nicholas Mee & Co, said: "The V8 Super Cygnet represents Aston Martin engineering at its most creative and audacious.

"It’s a brilliant demonstration of what happens when you combine the heart of a V8 Vantage S with the compact dimensions of the Cygnet city car.

"The result is simply extraordinary – a 430bhp pocket rocket that delivers supercar thrills in a package you could park it in the tightest city space."

The motor is up at "price on application", but with is expected to be worth upwards of £40,000.

Aston Martin Vice President & Special Operations Officer, David King said: “The V8 Cygnet shows the fun side of both Aston Martin and its customers.

"It is also a fine example of the engineering talent within the company as it’s no small achievement to fit the Vantage’s V8 engine so harmoniously into the Cygnet’s compact body.

"I am sure that it will amaze and thrill people when they see and hear it on the hill at the Festival of Speed.”
